Never trust AI with something you don't know

2 weeks ago, I was studying Engineering physics for my finals and just like anyone would do, I decided to get some help from AI instead of searching things up. Becouse AI was faster and wasn't coming up with 2 pages of useless results on me.

I used Google's Gemini to get help because on paper it used the most updated information as possible.

And after some talk with it, I decided to take another look at book I got from library and noticed something. Everything that Gemini told me was wrong. Not just different but completely wrong.

Similar thing also happened when I was writing a bash script for my server. It just gave me pure gibberish code every single time.

So that showed me one thing. And it's never trusting AI (Gemini, GPT-4o) with something that you don't know.

This doesn't means you shouldn't use AI at all. If you need it go ahead. I'm currently using Google's Gemini for getting help for things like writing stuff or code. But I'm always checking it before any use and you should do that too.

But in my opinion if you're trying to learn something you shouldn't use AI for it.
